LATIN AMERICAN PREMIERE
Fantaspoa, the International Fantastic Film Festival of Porto Alegre, was created in 2005 as a trailblazing festival aimed at showcasing fantastic films in Brazil.
On display at XX Fantaspoa, we will have the American slasher "Faceless After Dark".
With strong metalinguistic touches, the film starring and scripted by Jenna Kanell ("Terrifier", "Renfield"), follows an actress having to deal with misogyny and toxic fans after the huge success of a slasher film in which she acts, until it reaches a breaking point.
“Faceless After Dark” is directed by Raymond Wood, in his third feature film, and will make its Latin American premiere at Fantaspoa after screenings at festivals such as Frightfest, Grimmfest and Screamfest.
Synopsis: After the success of star in a horror movie with a killer clown, Bowie now finds it hard to capitalize on that success. However, when she is suddenly held hostage by an unbalanced fan impersonating the same killer clown, horror becomes her reality as she struggles to survive the night and escape before he completes her sinister plan to recreate the film's fatal plot.
